Service traffic

Serviced public transport, i.e. Äänekoski's service transport (formerly senior transport), refers to public transport open to all, which takes into account the needs of the aging population and people with mobility impairments better than conventional public transport.

Service transport aims to support the opportunities of the aging population in particular to manage at home and, in connection with that, manage business independently. Transport can also be used to supplement the service level of traditional public transport in closed areas.

Äänekoski service traffic is open traffic, so using the service does not require decisions. Traffic is charged according to the bus tax. A person receiving a transport benefit according to the Disability Services Act may travel without a deductible in traffic.

Service transport is intended primarily for the aging population and persons who are unable to use other public transport. However, anyone can use service traffic.

The departure times of the transports are between 9.00:10.00 and 11.00:12.00 and the return transports between XNUMX:XNUMX and XNUMX:XNUMX. You register for the service the day before and the driver will give you a more precise arrival time and departure point. Customers leave for transport from their home road or street, and the driver assists with carrying shopping bags if necessary. Service traffic operates on weekdays all year round.
