Primarily applications electronically!

We have switched to using electronic transactions in schools through the Wilma application and in early childhood education the CGI Vesa software. You can use the forms below if you don't have any credentials for the programs.

You can fill in the forms either by first filling them in on a machine and then by printing and signing them. Or you can first print the form on paper and fill it in by hand and sign it.

Early childhood education and preschool education

There are nine daycare centers in Äänekoski with full-day care groups for children aged 1-3 and 3-6. Preschool education usually starts in August. Pre-school education is given four or five days a week.

Basic education and schools

The town of Äänekoski has five basic education elementary schools and two unified schools. We invest especially in entrepreneurship education from pre-school to high school, cultural education and the teaching of well-being skills. It is possible to do hobbies at the schools and morning and afternoon activities are available. At Äänekoski, we grow with you and solid foundations are built for dreams! Riihimäki general upper secondary school

At Äänekoski high school, we learn the basics of life and prepare for further studies and the future working life. In a high school of about 300 students, we know each other and the atmosphere is safe and confidential. The 90-year-old high school has long traditions, but the high school building is new and modern. At Äänekoski high school, we study, gain insight, gather inspiration and have fun together. On our front door it says "Carpe diem" - Welcome to the back!

Vocational and other education

In the Äänekoski area, you can receive instruction in several different fields of study at the Northern Central Finland Vocational College. Open higher education is offered by Jyväskylä Open University. In addition, basic art education is given at Ala-Keitele's music college.

Entrepreneurship education

The city of Äänekoski is a pioneer in entrepreneurship education in Finland. In Äänekoski, preschool education, all schools and high schools use the Entrepreneurship Education Path entrepreneurship education curriculum. Local sponsored companies are a significant resource and cooperation with the local business community is close. Äänemessut is the city's entrepreneurship education's own fair event, which is implemented in cooperation between entrepreneurship education and the city. Young people are also supported in finding summer jobs and summer entrepreneurship.

Teaching well-being skills

Cultural education

Cultural education plan Kulttuurikoski guarantees all Äänekoski children the same opportunities to participate in cultural activities. Starting from kindergarten and progressing step by step in primary school, the goal-oriented entity introduces children and young people to a wide range of different art forms, local cultural offerings and the cultural heritage of the region.

Sound fair

The voice fair will be held in and around Pankkari on May 23-24.5.2025, 10, Friday from 18 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 16 a.m. to XNUMX p.m. The city of Äänekoski and the department of education and training are responsible for organizing the fair. Äänemessut is part of the entrepreneurship education of Äänekoski schools and high schools. The proceeds from the event will be used for the benefit of the youth of Äänekoski.
