Young people aged 18-29 who have moved from Äänekoski to study elsewhere are entitled to an annual study scholarship if they keep Äänekoski as their home municipality. For the spring application, the student's municipality of residence must be Äänekoski already before the turn of the year. The student scholarship application starts on January 7.1.2025, XNUMX.

In 2025, the city of Äänekoski will distribute student scholarships to 18-29-year-olds studying full-time outside of Äänekoski with degree goals. The amount of the scholarship is 350 euros per year and it is intended for studies. The scholarship is tax-free income for the recipient.

The student scholarship aims to encourage the young people of Äänekoski to acquire an education and a profession. At the same time, the home municipality stipend can help maintain a lively relationship with your home municipality, when, for example, there is more money left over for traveling between your place of study and your home municipality. The scholarship became available for application for the first time in January 2018. 

One of the conditions for receiving a scholarship is that the applicant's official residence is Äänekoski. In the population data, the municipality of residence in 2025 is determined according to the data of the last day of 2024. 

The scholarship must be applied for between January 7.1 and February 28.2.2025, 2025. Scholarships will be awarded and paid in May XNUMX based on applications.
