Cultural center Painotalo

Located in the center of Äänekoski, the Cultural Center Painotalo serves a wide range of needs for event organizers. Renovated in 2022, the building has two performing arts spaces. The large hall's rising grandstand seats 210 people, and the hall can be converted for public events of up to 600 people. The Mikko Hall has an electrically retractable rising grandstand for 108 people. The hall is available for rental for events.
Painotalon Iso sali sopii mm. konserteille, tanssiesityksille, messuille sekä juhlatilaksi. Ison salin nousevaan katsomoon mahtuu 210 ihmistä, ja sali on muunnettavissa jopa 600 ihmisen yleisötilaisuutta varten. Enimmäiskapasiteetti istumapaikalliselle tilaisuudelle on 260 paikkaa. Salin varustukseen kuuluu mm. kiinteä 10 x 5 m valkokangas, videotykki sekä flyygeli. Salin ääni- ja valotekniikasta lisätietoja alla.
In its usual configuration, the Grand Hall has a space of approximately 300 square meters behind the grandstand, which is suitable for organizing workshops, coffee breaks or meals in connection with a seminar (note that the hall does not have its own kitchen). At the back of the Grand Hall there are movable tables and seats for up to 120 people.
The building also has a smaller Mikkosali, which has a 108-seat rising and retractable auditorium. Mikkosali has an approximately 5 x 3 m screen and a video projector. More information about the hall's sound and lighting technology is available below.
There is a small kitchen corner in the public lobby of the printing house, which can be used for organizing coffee breaks in connection with public events. The coffee corner is equipped with coffee utensils, serving dishes, a coffee machine, a kettle, a stove and an oven.

The printing house also has a dance hall for dance practice.
The Cultural Center Painotalo is accessible and the building also has a spacious elevator.

Standard shifts
The printing house's standard usage shifts are granted for one year forward after the application that takes place in the spring. After granting permanent shifts, the cultural institution rents space for concerts and other activities in order of reservation.
Applications
When allocating the printing house's operating hours, priority is given to individual cultural events. Shifts are applied for with a premises use shift application, to which attachments can be added if necessary. Applications received in other ways will not be processed.
