In matters of construction, Äänekoski provides flexible and prompt service. We serve individually and flexibly in all matters related to plots and building permits.

Renting and selling city plots
From plot services, you can inquire about the city's single-family house, holiday apartment, industrial, commercial, townhouse and apartment building plots. The land use manager and the zoning manager decide on renting and selling the plots when the plots have already been priced.
Real estate deliveries
The city manages real estate subdivisions and other real estate deliveries in the urban planning areas of Äänekoski and Suolahti. Outside these areas, deliveries are handled by Land Surveying Office.
The site plan areas of the Äänekoski and Suolahti agglomerations have a binding plot division. A plot division or a change in plot division is drawn up either as a separate plot division or as a plot division acceptable in connection with the site plan. The plot distribution map shows how the block area according to the site plan is divided into plots with plot block deliveries. Upon the landowner's application, the valid plot division can be changed. The conditions for changing the plot distribution are examined on a case-by-case basis, and the decision to change the plot distribution is made by the planning manager.
In the site plan area, building sites are separated into plots according to the plan by means of blocks. Before subdivision, the plot division according to the formula must be valid in the area. Subdivision of the plot starts with the owner's written application or with the information submitted by the Land Surveying Authority on the subpoena issued to the target area. In the area of a binding plot division, the condition for a building permit is that the plot has been formed into a plot in accordance with the valid site plan and plot division.
The city also carries out border visits, burden deliveries and significant measures in the real estate register.
You can apply for a change and subdivision of the plot or other real estate delivery by application.
Marking a boundary or fence
Plot boundaries are usually marked on the ground with iron pipes in the site plan areas. If the pipes have remained underground, for example, or if they have not been found otherwise, you can order the marking of the border from the plot services. The places of border crossings are marked on the terrain with temporary wooden strips.
If the boundary marker indicating the boundary of the plot has disappeared and there is a dispute or ambiguity about its location, a boundary inspection can be carried out on the plot upon written application of the plot owner.

Building control measurements
The official control of construction is handled by the city's building control. The location marking of the building is done for new buildings and, on a case-by-case basis, for extensions, etc. if the building permit decision so requires.
Marking of the building site is done after the building permit is granted, before the kick-off meeting and the actual construction work begins. The building is marked on the terrain with wooden strips according to the site plan. If necessary, the height in the national height system will be added to the plot.
After the initial meeting and the removal of topsoil, the location of the building is more precisely marked with root stakes or wire trestles. If the builder wants to mark the building with the help of wire trestles, the builder himself must place sturdy and well-preserved wire trestles on the plot in accordance with the tree lines, after which the site services will mark the exact location of the building on them.

Addresses
In the planning area, the street names are confirmed in the site plan, and the road names in the sparsely populated area are discussed by the nomenclature committee. Address numbers are given in plot services after the site has a building permit.
The owner of the building must place a number or letter indicating the identification of the building and stairwell in a place visible from the street, other traffic routes and the traffic area within the lot, according to what the municipality has decided on the matter. The address marking must also guide the alarm and maintenance drive as well as other traffic to the property. Street and road name signs are installed by the city. Navigator problems
We often receive feedback that Google Maps or other navigation software directs to the wrong place or that the information is out of date. Unfortunately, updating the navigators' map data is not the municipality's responsibility, but the responsibility of the service provider.
The navigators contain materials from different suppliers and the information is updated in different ways. Some operators collect data themselves and others use material maintained by municipalities and the Land Survey. The city of Äänekoski reports the changes that have occurred in its area to the land surveying institute, from where they end up on the devices of the operators who use the materials of the Land surveying institute.
