Kovala's house

Kovala maja, owned by the city of Äänekoski, is located in Kovalanniemi. There is a cabin in Kovala that can sleep 10 people and a sauna. The premises are always rented together. Kovala's house is for rent from the beginning of May to the end of October. Os. Kovalantie 191, 44100 Äänekoski.

Kovala's house is a two-story building. Downstairs there is a living room, kitchen and bedroom. Upstairs there is accommodation for 10 people (8 upstairs and 2 in the downstairs bedroom). There is a separate toilet building next to the house. The cabin can accommodate approx. 50 people. 

You can organize parties and meetings at Kovala's house, and in the area you can go hiking, sauna, play badminton and swim.

Courtyard sauna

In Kovala, there is a wood-heated outdoor sauna that can accommodate about 10 people. There is a jetty next to the sauna. There is a separate wood shed in the yard area, as well as a campfire place. You can also camp in the area when renting.

Hours of use / inquiries 

Hours of use are requested electronically from spatial services. The cell phone number of the tenant's responsible person must be given to the property services when booking. The key to Kovala can be obtained from the information office of Äänekoski town hall upon reservation, please also reserve an identity document for the trip. At the end of the rental period, the key is returned to the city hall's information point.

If you are interested in renting Kovala during the winter, for example for organizing ice skating competitions or other events, please contact the facility services. The water supply to Kovala will be shut off at the end of the rental period.

Kovala rules:

1. The day of use starts at 13.00:12.00 and ends at XNUMX:XNUMX. Kovala is also rented for day use only, but the full daily price is charged for this.

2. Space reservations must be canceled at least 2 weeks before the start of the reservation period. 50% of the price is charged for non-cancellable reservations. The lessee signs the contact information form when searching for the keys, which shows the lessee's contact information and the name of the responsible person. The rent is invoiced after the rental period. The renter of the premises and the responsible person must be at least 18 years old.

4. The responsible person checks the facilities and furniture upon arrival in Kovala and reports any damage or deficiencies to the facility services no later than the next working day. He ensures that order is maintained during the event and that there are no unauthorized persons in the premises during the rental period. The responsible person ensures that the usage day is not exceeded. The premises are cleaned to the level of cleanliness and order before the event before leaving. Please note that you take with you everything you brought when you came. The person in charge is the last to leave the event and takes care of locking the doors. He checks that the lights in all rooms are turned off, the water taps are closed, and the windows are closed. The responsible person returns the key.

5. If something breaks during the rental period, the facility services must be informed about it no later than the next working day. In cases of damage and vandalism, the renters of the space are liable for compensation.

6. The premises must be cleaned after use to the same condition as when they were received. Additional cleaning will be billed at 400 euros + VAT 25,5%.

7. The lessor is not responsible for damages caused by the customer to himself or his property. The city of Äänekoski is not responsible for a reservation canceled for reasons beyond the city's control.

8. Users must bring the necessary first aid equipment when they come and take care of them in a space where they are easily accessible. The storage location must be known to everyone.

9. Äänekoski city's facility services may, as a result of neglecting these rules of use and order, not rent the premises for the time being or deny the right to use the premises in the future. The city will invoice the user of the space for damages caused by him or the costs incurred by the city for tidying up or cleaning the space, as well as other sanctions caused by neglecting the instructions or carelessness.

10  The use of the camp center must be in accordance with Finnish laws and good customs.
