Urban Planning Board

As the client, the Urban Construction Board is responsible for the planning and construction of business premises and takes care of developer supervision and property manager obligations and maintaining the value of the property. The industry builds or constructs and manages the premises in the municipality's own use and, as the customer, is responsible for their maintenance and care.

The board is responsible for the planning and construction supervision of community technical construction and public areas, as well as care and maintenance as the client.

The board prepares matters concerning the general development of water supply and operational area decisions.

The board takes care of the tasks assigned to the municipality in the legislation concerning housing, private roads, road and water traffic and scrap vehicles and is responsible for public transport matters.

Note! The Urban Structure Board has no duties related to waste management. The waste management authority of the city of Äänekoski is a joint body of several municipalities in Central Finland Heart of Finland waste board.
