Village bus

Äänekoski operates a service bus service called Kyläbussi. Kyläbussi serves the villages of Äänekoski by enabling residents to access services. The village bus service is open business transport intended for everyone. 

Operating days are from Monday to Friday. There is no traffic on weekends and bank holidays. The village bus is a barrier-free bus that is easy to board even with a wheelchair or walker. Schedules allow for personal service. If necessary, the driver will assist in boarding and disembarking. 

Please note that Kyläbussi is not a big bus, but rather a small bus, which can be identified as Kyläbussi by the marking on the window. When waiting at a bus stop, the customer must stop the car by, for example, waving his hand, because the Village Bus does not stop at all stops automatically.

The village bus ride costs 3,30 euros one way. The means of payment are cash and the most common bank and credit cards. A person receiving a transport benefit according to the Disability Services Act may travel on Kyläbussi routes without excess liability.

The village bus runs twice a day via the Äänekoski health center and the Äänekoski bus station on a ring-shaped standard route, serving the villages of Äänekoski. You can board from the bus stops along the route (remember to stop the car by waving your hand) and you can also stay at the bus stops.

The village bus does not run on weekends or public holidays. Note bicycles cannot be taken into the passenger compartment of the village bus.

Note! During the morning run, we get into the car from the stop on the side of the health center. At the time of the afternoon run, from the health center stop, get into the car from the stop on the Lidl side. The bus leaves from the Äänekoski bus station under the bus shelter, which says local traffic.

You can board from the bus stops along the route and you can also stay at them. 

A fixed fee of €3,30 is charged for each direction. 

Note! The village bus no longer stops in Parantala.
