Change of the site plan of Häränvirtanpuisto, 992 6/19

The aim of the plan change is to investigate the uses of the unrealized apartment building plots along Mämmensalmentie and the plot of nearby services, as well as the unrealized school plot near the harbor. The areas reserved for the construction of apartment buildings in the current site plan have challenging topography in terms of apartment building construction. In the Äänekoski 2017 partial master plan approved in 2030, the block areas of apartment buildings and services that remained unrealized are shown to be transformed into a residential area dominated by small houses and a neighborhood recreation area. In connection with the plan change, it is intended to check the reservations of street areas around Häränvirtanpuisto and to update outdated plan markings and regulations.

In connection with the preparation of the plan project, a new goal has been raised for the plan project alongside the previous ones. Over the years, the unrealized school plot in the planning area has been used for the open storage of boats, and in 2021 a boathouse will also be built in the area. In order to take into account the need that has arisen, in connection with the plan preparation, a new goal has been raised to examine the assignment of the area near the port to activities that support port operations and develop the port area.
