You can arrange carpools easily and safely with the Carpool mobile service
In the mobile service, you can easily and safely search for, arrange and make carpools with your neighbors or other people moving in the same direction. The service is especially suitable for trips repeated daily or weekly, e.g. to work, hobbies or shopping, but also, if necessary, for longer trips, e.g. to Jyväskylä or Helsinki.
Carpools are done as neighborly help or the driver and passenger only share the fuel costs. The more people there are, the better it is to find sharers for the trips.
A Finn driving an average of 16000 km a year pays €2 a year for petrol at a price of €2200 per liter, and €20 a year for just 600 km of work trips. Not everyone lives along public transport routes or can cycle long distances, so it's hard to save on car travel.
For example, indicate the addresses of your workplace and your regular store, so those who travel the same distance can find your journey on the map and ask if it would be suitable to try carpooling one day. You can refuse the requested rides or stop using the service at any time. For security reasons, displaying more detailed ride information requires logging into the service, and bank identification is required to arrange a ride. So join the service, tell your friends about it and join the savings talks. At the same time, you are building a fairer and more sustainable Finland!
