The previously operating TE office and municipal experiments ceased, and the services were transferred to the responsibility of the employment areas made up of municipalities. The change is one of the biggest in the state's history, and various disruptions, outages and delays in the service are possible, especially in the first months of the year. 

There has been congestion in the telephone service 

The phone service for jobseeker-customers in the Northern Central Finland employment area has been temporarily congested. Contact us first The Toremarkkinatori Asiointi service through. If your call does not get through to the phone service, then primarily leave a contact request through Työmarkkinatori's Asiointi service. You can also call again later. 

Unfortunately, the phone service does not have a callback function, but the personal customer service tries to call back all unanswered calls. Problems caused by congestion or error situations can be fixed afterwards. 

The municipal offices serve on-site only by appointment.  

Processing of applications has been delayed 

The processing of applications and statements is currently delayed and the backlog is currently being cleared. There is also a queue in the services for business customers. Contact requests will be answered as soon as possible. We ask for patience and understanding in an unusual situation. 

Wage support will not be granted during 2025 

The 2025 employment appropriations for wage support have been used, so it is not possible to grant support. The next time the allocation situation will be reviewed in August 2025 and the situation will be announced on the employment area's website and social media channels.
