Residents had a chance to speak at Uimarantilla
At the public beach evening of Äänekoski on Tuesday 17.5.2022 May XNUMX, there was a good discussion between Jyväskylä environmental health, Äänekoski city employees, trustees and residents. There were forty participants.
The residents' discussion and workshop evening was new strategy inclusive and in accordance with the principles of open administration. During the evening, the residents came up with good ideas about developing swimming beaches. For example, they hoped for better signage and for the city to market its beaches more. Swimming beaches were perceived as an important service and meeting place for people, and also as one of the city's important attraction factors.
The proposal has been that part of the 31 swimming places in the city of Äänekoski will be closed and the service level of the remaining beaches will be raised. No changes are proposed for winter swimming spots. During the discussion and workshop, residents were able to leave written greetings, which will be delivered to the urban structure committee.
The urban planning committee will discuss the beach issue next time at its June meeting.
In accordance with its strategy, the city of Äänekoski also continues to organize village evenings. The village evening tour starts at Koivisto school on Monday, May 30.5.2022, 17.30, from 23.5:XNUMX p.m. Questions are requested in advance by next Monday, May XNUMX. by e-mail heidi.kolu@aanekoski.fi.
