New graffiti container for the first time in Äänekoski's central square
The city of Äänekoski has invested in licensed graffiti painting places in the center and now, with the new portable graffiti container, also in urban areas.
Äänekoski currently has one licensed place designated for making street art, and it is located in the light traffic underpass tunnel near Äänekoski Areena Pankkari (from Pankkari beach facing the light traffic lane towards Vaasankatu). The place in question is freely available to street artists. In accordance with graffiti culture, it is permissible to paint one's own works on top of other people's works.
In order to increase the opportunities for street art in Äänekoski, the city has acquired a new graffiti container, the location of which can be changed between different agglomerations. The graffiti container is a year-round free art surface for all municipal residents, where those interested in graffiti and street art can express themselves by painting on it.
The new graffiti container, i.e. the plywood sea container, can be freely painted. The graffiti container will be placed first in the central square of Äänekoski. Next, it will be moved to the Asemakatu school yard in Suolahti, and we will inform you about the move separately.
