A strong common will: Äänekoski will be made vibrant together
Last week, the vitality unit of the city of Äänekoski invited entrepreneurs to breakfast to get to know the new to the urban strategy to the Äänekoski phenomenon and to consider how Äänekoski can be developed in the next six years from the point of view of business life.
Mayor Matti Tuononen introduced Äänekoski phenomenon. One focus of the strategy is effective livelihoods, which includes a list of exemplary actions not only for residents but also for entrepreneurs. Effective livelihoods are created together, and everyone is challenged to implement the Äänekoski phenomenon - everyone can do something.
During the morning, workshops were held to discuss how the city could be developed. The workshops considered factors for a competitive operating environment, a city that promotes business opportunities, strengthening the bioeconomy ecosystem, securing the availability of skilled labor, and marketing communications that support business operations. The answers will be utilized in the new vitality and competitiveness program, which is currently being drawn up based on the new city strategy.

At the request of the entrepreneurs, the city commissions "We are a phenomenon" campaign stickers, which the entrepreneurs can glue on the doors of their business premises if they wish, and they are also put on the city's own premises. In this way, the phenomenon is also made familiar and visible. The stickers will be distributed at a later date to be announced at different offices in the city.
Last week, the city of Äänekoski also organized a cultural forum and tomorrow, June 16.6.2022, XNUMX, a sports forum, where residents can participate in making the city's cultural and sports program.
