The food services of the city of Äänekoski organized an Äänekoski-themed food day.

- The idea started when Aura cheese is made here in Äänekoski. The same day coincided with the national ear tree day, so of course buns were available for dessert, the person in charge of the production control system Eija Tornikoski says.
In all the city's units, daycare centers and schools, on Tuesday, they feasted on Aura cheese fish and potatoes, salad table foods and salad cheese, which is also made in Äänekoski. Small children and those for whom Aura is not suitable were offered more familiar cheese fish.
The food services organize other events throughout the year, such as children's wish food days, themed days, waste days, and in addition, the holidays of the calendar year are taken into account when serving food.

The food services of the city of Äänekoski conjure up good and tasty home-cooked meals at affordable prices every day.
- With us, the total price of a meal is 3,95 euros per student. The price includes all costs, food, transportation, personnel costs. At Äänekoski, we are satisfied with the food budget for school meals, says Eija Tornikoski.
