The renovation of Äänekoski town hall will start in July

During the summer, the 1st floor of Äänekoski town hall will be renovated to add more office space for the employment services. The Northern Central Finland employment area will start operating on January 1.1.2025, 65. The state's TE offices will cease and 1.1.2025 employees from the state will be transferred to the city of Äänekoski from January XNUMX, XNUMX. Most of the transferred employees will work in Äänekoski, so additional space is needed.

During Midsummer week, large-scale workroom arrangements have been made at the town hall. From the 1st floor, the people from the teaching and education industry have moved to the 2nd floor, where the work rooms have been condensed. In the future, many will share the office with another employee. Some of the employees who regularly work remotely will use bookable work rooms in the future, and they do not have their own permanent workstation.
Employment services will also have study rooms on the 1st floor that can be reserved for employees.
The construction site of the 1st floor will start on July 1.7.2024, 4, when the town hall is closed. The estimated duration is seven weeks. The construction site area includes part of the work spaces and corridor areas. The dusty and noisy demolition work is carried out between 8 and XNUMX in the morning. During the construction site, there will be a container for demolition waste in the grassy area in front of the town hall and in the back next to the transformer.
During the renovation, Äänekoski's employment services, i.e. the municipal experiment, will operate almost as usual in the premises of the town hall, and the employment services will be open throughout the summer. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the renovation!
