Äänekoski will get more charging stations for electric cars
In the next few years, Äänekoski will get more charging stations for electric cars. The city of Äänekoski plans to have a total of 2024 charging stations for electric cars in the urban areas of Äänekoski and Suolahti by the end of 5.
The charging stations are planned for: Äänekoski high school, town hall, Mikonpuisto parking lot, Liikuntapuisto and ice rink parking lot in Suolahti. In Sumiais, the charging station is coming to the parking area at the beginning of Taipalee road and to the parking area behind Sale in Konginkanga. The stations are not only for the city's own personnel, but also for public use by everyone.
The power of the charging stations varies between 22 and 100 kW, and each station has several chargers. The chargers are used with the selected operator's mobile phone APP or RFID tag. The user must register as a customer of the operator, and the operator also handles charging invoicing.
The construction and maintenance of the stations will be tendered and the operation will be operator-based. The investment is considerable and the city's share is to supply the stations' electricity/connections. Other details will be resolved after the tender in negotiations between the operator and the city.
The charging stations will be the property of the operator and also their management and maintenance. The chargers will be branded in the colors of the city of Äänekoski.
