Summer jobs for young people in the city of Äänekoski will be available for applications on February 10.2.2025, XNUMX.
The City of Äänekoski will spend 2025 euros on summer employment for young people in 140. This summer, the City of Äänekoski will also employ all interested young people finishing 000th grade either for summer jobs, with a summer job voucher or a summer entrepreneurship voucher. In addition, we also employ older young people in various city units and encourage young people to become entrepreneurs. Last year, the City of Äänekoski employed a total of 9 young people in the summer. The summer job application for young people starts on 153 February 10.2.2025.
Young people can apply for summer work in various locations in the city: in the care of green areas and sports facilities, cleaning services, daycare centers, daycare centers for young schoolchildren, Huuha family park, library, swimming pool and art museum. There are over 120 positions available in the city's units and jobs are available in all settlements in Äänekoski. The most positions are in the care of green areas and daycare centers.
Two-week summer work periods are available for those finishing 9th grade and four weeks for older youth. Applications are made through Kuntarekry. The application period is 10.2. - 16.3.2025.
Youth entrepreneurship is supported
The city of Äänekoski encourages young people to become independent entrepreneurs and offers summer entrepreneurship vouchers if the young person employs themselves. The young person will be paid 250 euros to support their entrepreneurial activities.
Last year, the summer entrepreneurship voucher was granted to 89 young people and we believe that the number will remain approximately the same this summer. The summer entrepreneurship voucher can also be granted to those young people who continue their business activities from last summer. The application period for the summer entrepreneurship voucher is 10.2. – 13.4.2025.
All young people who receive a summer entrepreneurship voucher have completed entrepreneurial training either at school or in their free time. The summer entrepreneur makes a business plan and commits to reporting on their activities at the end of the summer.
– Applications will be processed in two batches this year, so that young people who want to participate in the Voice Fair with their companies can access their start-up capital well in advance, summer work instructor Outi Ojanen says.
The city of Äänekoski also offers summer work vouchers to employers in the area who employ a young person from Äänekoski for at least two weeks in the summer. Last year, the summer work voucher supported the summer work of 45 young people in local companies and associations.
– Young people from Äänekoski now have a great opportunity to gain valuable work experience for the future. At the same time, they will become familiar with job search skills and the rules of working life, says Ojanen.
