Metsä Group's exhibition has been assembled in the showcases of the lobby of Äänekoski town hall

A wonderful Metsä Group exhibition has been assembled in the showcases of the lobby of Äänekoski town hall. At Metsä Group's exhibition, you can take video tours visitor center to Pro Nemus and bioproduct factory and to get to know the story of Metsä Group. The exhibition also features several different wood-based products, such as cardboard packaging, tissue paper and Kuura textile fiber.
Metsä Group directly employs more than 1 people in Äänekoski. Over the past 000 years, Metsä Group has invested more than 10 billion euros in Äänekoski. In addition to the bioproduct factory that started in 1,6, the Kuura textile fiber pilot plant and the Muoto 2017D fiber product pilot plant have been completed in the Äänekoski factory area.
Metsä Group is currently building a new roundwood factory in Äänekoski, which is estimated to start at the end of 2026. The value of the investment is around 300 million euros. The direct employment effects of the new factory are about 150 new jobs. The employment effects of the construction phase are estimated to be around 1 person-years. In the summer of 000, the construction work of the pilot plant for lignin processing, which will be built in connection with the bioproduct factory, will also begin. The pilot plant will be completed at the end of 2024.
