The cell phone guidelines of Äänekoski schools have been harmonized

Äänekoski's schools have now harmonized instructions on the use of students' mobile phones during the school day. The new, clearer policies have also received praise from parents.
Äänekoski elementary schools have not had any problems with the use of mobile phones by students, and phones remain in backpacks during the school day. In secondary schools, phones can sometimes interfere with studying. The principle is that the phone is only used in class as agreed, and it is important that everyone is able to focus on studying.
In order for phones not to disturb the lesson, students have two options: the phone in use can be put in common storage for an hour at the beginning of the lesson, or put it on silent in the backpack. However, if the phone disturbs the lesson for some reason, the teacher asks to hand over the phone for the rest of the lesson and a note to Wilma will be made.
For example, grades 7-9 at Koulunmäki school. - graders have phone storage packs in Teke's classes. Everyone's phone is well stored and safe in them.
If the student's phone has an application related to health monitoring, such as a sugar meter, the phone may also be on during the lesson, but it should be kept in the backpack.
