In the social and health care of the welfare region of Central Finland, the mask recommendation will be waived from June 1.6.2023, XNUMX
The central Finland welfare area's management group for combating infectious diseases, so-called Koronanyrkki decided that mask recommendations, i.e. the use of surgical mouth-nose protectors and respirators in all customer and patient contacts, will be waived in the Central Finland welfare region from the beginning of June (June 1.6.2023, XNUMX).
In the future, in social and health care in the region, masks will be used to protect patients and staff only when the patient's illness requires it. The decision also applies to employees working in long-term care and home care.
Today's decision is based on the clear decrease in corona infections in the region and the fact that the recent corona waves have caused the residents of the region clearly milder symptoms than before. However, Koronanyrkki reminds that it is still possible for individual patients to fall ill with the severe COVID-19 disease.
