Entry into force of the Central Finland Regional Plan 2040
The provincial government of Central Finland decided on the entry into force of the Central Finland regional plan 2040 at its meeting on February 23.2.2024, 8.12.2023. The regional plan approved by the county council on December XNUMX, XNUMX partially changes or cancels the regional plan decisions of the legally binding Central Finland regional plan.
Thirteen appeals were made to the administrative court against the decision to approve the 2040 regional plan. In the appeals, opinions were taken, for example, on the adequacy of impact assessments and reports, the provincial planning process and buffer zones. The county formula is not yet legally binding because appeals have been filed. However, according to Section 13 of the Land Use and Construction Act, the provincial government can order the provincial plan to enter into force despite complaints even before it has gained legal force.
The provincial plan comes into force when the decision has been announced in the municipalities that belong to the provincial plan area. The announcement about the entry into force of the provincial plan has been published today, March 19.3.2024, XNUMX, in the newspaper Keskisuomainse and on the website of the Keski-Suomen liitto.
