Musician Teppo Seppänen is the new event technician of the city of Äänekoski

Äänekoski city's event technician was chosen Teppo Seppänen having had a long career Pertti "Enu" Tikanderin retiring.
Teppo Seppänen is known to many since 2000 as a class teacher at Äänekoski Music College. Seppänen has taught band playing and managed the music school's sound reproduction and lighting. In addition, he has been doing various gigs and music jobs as an entrepreneur for decades. For example, in August there is already a tradition in Petäjävedi Mati and Tepo's song class together with the guitarist of Miljoonasatee Matti Nurron with.
Seppänen has also managed all the streaming of the city of Äänekoski during the corona pandemic. The next streaming will be on Wednesday, June 29.6.2022, 14 at XNUMX p.m. at the Flowers for the Elderly event, so if you can't make it to the village party at the Piilola Service Center, you can watch it live from this link: https://youtu.be/yL9dzyitYz0.
Seppänen believes there will be demand for streaming even after the corona pandemic.
- They have had a surprisingly large number of viewers. At council meetings, the number of spectators varies a little depending on the topic, and the concerts of the music college have heavy audience numbers. Relatives can participate in the music school's concerts and activity center events through that, if they can't get there otherwise.
The job description of the city's event technician includes, among other things, sound reproduction, lights, streaming and, if necessary, also video shooting and editing. When the city's facilities are rented, the event technician handles the necessary services on site. Seppänen is a performance and theater technician by training.
- The renovation of the printing house is progressing well on schedule and it will be really nice and the cafe will be big. The sound reproduction of the Mikko hall and the big hall is built with old tricks, because they were already good and up-to-date. We will probably be able to prepare them in the fall, Seppänen says.
Seppänen is happy about Äänekoski's rich cultural life.
- The city has a diverse cultural offering and the children's cultural weeks were a success. The city's offer is well complemented by, for example, the restaurants' music offering, from rock to dance music. It happens at Musikkiopisto and Koskela, and there are many choirs in Äänekoski. Äänekoski theater is also doing well and I myself am involved in its activities, Seppänen lists.
