The city of Äänekoski aims for new residents by offering buckets of good life
The city of Äänekoski is targeting new residents with a new A very good life campaign. The relocation campaign is targeted in Central Finland especially for those working in Äänekoski, but also for those living elsewhere.

In addition to the traditional Äänekoski mover's advantage package, those who move to Äänekoski during 2023 will receive an ecological bucket and a 100 euro gift card for local brick-and-mortar stores and services.
The purpose of the campaign is to increase the willingness to move to Äänekoski by emphasizing the good aspects of the city, which include e.g. great hobby opportunities, new schools, high-quality kindergartens and affordable housing. You can live in Äänekoski the better everyday life.
The migration campaign is based on the information gathered in last year's migration survey. The research found that moving for work is only the third most important reason for moving to Äänekoski. Somewhat surprisingly, the survey revealed the respondents' desire to live in the community until the end: more than 10% of the respondents said in the open-ended answers that they would stay here as long as they live or even reserved a burial place in the community.

The humorous campaign is implemented on multiple channels, for example on websites, social media and radio. In addition, large employers in the region are supplied with printed material that can be distributed to employees and those participating in recruitment events.
During the first week of the campaign, the campaign has received a delightful reception and the video has already been viewed more than 2 times. For example, Suolahden Urho announced on social media that they will raise the stakes by offering a new resident a season ticket for the upcoming season!
In addition to the bucket and gift card, the city wants to increase the settling in and networking of new residents by organizing two coffee events where you can taste Äänekoski coffee and get to know each other. Buckets and gift cards are distributed to new residents at these events.
