The city of Äänekoski is looking for reliable and enthusiastic election officials for the spring European Parliament elections 2024. Early voting for the European Parliament elections will take place in Finland between May 29.5 and June 4.6.2024, 9.6.2024, and the actual election day is Sunday June XNUMX, XNUMX.
Election officials are an important part of the election process and they ensure that the elections are fair and democratic. The election official's duties include, for example, preparing the polling station, guiding the voters at the polling station, receiving the vote and taking care of the order and security of the polling station.
The election official must be of legal age, i.e. over 18 years of age. A candidate or his spouse, children, siblings or parents cannot be an election official. Spouses refers to spouses and persons living in marriage-like circumstances and in a registered partnership.
Training is provided for the duties of the election official. Election officials are paid a salary for training and work.
